AbstractGeneral Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward a series of important statements on the development of China'ssports industry inthenew era，providing richtheoretical basis and ideological elements forthe ideological and political construction of physical education courses in universities.In the new era of promoting Chinese style modernizationconstruction，itisnecessary toincorporate General SecretaryXi Jinping's statementsonthegoals， strategic positioning，essence，and value orientation of sports development as the core content of ideological and political education in physical education courses into the clasroom.By strengthening the construction of ideological and political teaching materials in physical education courses，improving the system and mechanism ofideological and political construction in courses，and establishing a scientific and efective teaching evaluation system，we will continuously optimize the path of integration.
