Abstract：The optimization ofregional spatial structurebyadjusting theroad structureis an important meansfor therevitalization andrenewal of historical and cultural blocks.Basedon thespace syntax model， theroadnetwork before andafterthe urbanrenewalinLingnanTiandiofFoshan Cityis compared and analyzed. The results show that： after the renewal，the road network has been reconstructed，its integration has been greatly improved，and the centrality of theroad network has become more obvious，which is more conducive to thedevelopment of modern commercial service industry;The depth value and selectivity are decreased，the overallconnectivitydegreeoftheroadnetworkisstrengthenedandthestructureisoptimized.Itsintelligencehas beenimproved，indicatingthattheupdated roadnetwork is more coordinatedandeasier for tourists tounderstand.Finally，from the case of Lingnan Tiandi，the experience of protecting historical relics and strengthening regional characteristics through road network reconstruction and spatialinode shaping is summarized.
