Abstract：Bytracingthe changes ofthemanufacturing industryinthe Guangdong-Hong Kong-MacaoGreater BayArea inlthepast 20years in terms of the growthrate ofadded value，the spatial distribution，the proportion of themanufacturing industryin theeconomy，theexternal transferand thedegreeof industrial concentration， etc.，itis found thatthere are some problems intheregional manufacturing industry，such as slow growth， unbalanced development，over-dependence on electronic information industry，and soon.Inorder to promote theregional manufacturing industry，some policies are put forward，such as establishingithemonitoring systemof manufacturing industry，encouraging enterprises to build“parent factories”，and planning and constructing the demonstration zone of manufacturingindustry transfer in the bay area.
