Characteristics of Lightning Activity and Defense Strategies in the Gobi Ecological Agricultural Zone of Jiuquan City

Abstract:[Purposes] This study analyze the impact of lightning weather on the Gobi ecological agriculture in Jiuquan City,proposes defense measures to mitigate lightning disasters,and provides meteorological references for agricultural production activities in the national Gobi ecological agriculture demonstration zone of Jinquan.[Methods] Based on the current development status of Gobi ecological agriculture in Jiuquan City and meteorological data,this paper employs mathematical and statistical methods to analyze the temporal characteristics of lightning activity in Jiuquan City.With the help of Python to process lightning data and examine,the spatial distribution characteristics of lightning activity in Jiuquan City are studied.[Findings] Lightning disasters not only cause damage to the power supply, weak current lines and electromagnetic devices of agricultural facilities,which can easily lead to fires and reduce the yield of crops in the Gobi ecological agriculture,but also result in equipment damage,casualties and direct economic losses due to electric shock.[Conclusions] In the process of high-quality development of Gobi ecological agriculture in Jiuquan City,relevant departments should timely fillin the weak links of lightning protection in agricultural facilities,actively carry out publicity,early warning,detection and other work,avoid safety accidents caused by lightning strikes,and enhance the social and economic ben
efits of lightning protection in Gobi ecological agriculture.
