Abstract：ThepopulationoftheblindindividualsinChinaislarge.However，thereisalackofefectiveandaffordable meansofguidingtheblind，soitisdificulttoensuretheirsafetywhentheytraveling.Inviewofthis，amultifunctionalguidance systembasedontheRaspberyPi4Bisdesignedfortheblind.Thesystem iscapableofobstacledetectionandrecognition， pedestriannavigationandremotepositioning，andvoicebroadcasting.Itintegratesultrasonicsensorsandcameras，utilizinga visual objectdetectionalgorithmbasedon YOLOv8forobstacledetectionandrecognition.TheGPS modulefacilitates pedestrian navigatinandremoteposioning，alowingfamilymemberstoquerytheblindindividual'slocationinrealtime，therebyensuring theirtravelsafety.Aditionall，llgudanceinstructionsareprovidedbyvoiceroadcastingtoasisttheblind，ehacingthe systemusability.Thetestresultsdemonstratethattheproposedsystemcandetectobstacleswithin fourmetersandrecognize fifteenkindsofcommonobstacleswithhighdetectionprecisionandrecognitionaccuracy.Thesystemalsoshowsreliablepath planning and positioning capabilities.To sum up，the proposed systemcan meet the safety requirements for guidance.
