Abstract：Tension-typeheadache（TTH）isoneof thecommondiseasesinneurology.Ithasahighincidencerate，iseasyto relapse，andhasserioussideeectsaftermedication，hichseriouslyfectstepatient'sualityoflife.Motherlandmeicinehsauniquediscusionanddiagnosisandtreatmentmethodfortension-typeheadache，hichhastheadvantagesoftaking intoaccountboth symptoms androotcauses，strengthening tebodyandexpelingevilspirits，ndflexiblediagnosisandtreatment.ThearticlesummarizesProfessor WuYuanhua’sclinicalexperienceintreating tension-typeheadachebasedonthetheoryof“l(fā)iverwood-tendonand colaterals”oftraditioalCinesemedicine.ProfesorWuYuanabelievestat“evilstappedinteiverandwood，andtedosand colaterals”arethemainpathogenesisof tension-typeheadaches.Thetreatmentmethodis“tewoodevilssouldberegulated，and thetendonsshouldberelieved”，whichcantreatboth thesymptomsandtherootcauses，orusebothclearingawayheatandtoxins，It soothesliverqi，purgsevilspirits，almsliveryang，andnourishes teliverandkidneys.Clinically，itcloselyfollwsthepathogen sis，syndrome differentiation and treatment，and has excellent curative effect.
