Effect of Standardized Sedation Protocol on Neonatal noninvasive Ventilation （NIV） and Its Influence on Neurodevelopmental Outcomes

Abstract： Objective： To evaluate the efect of standardized sedation protocol on neonatal non-invasive ventilation （NIV）.Methods： A total of 120 newborns treated in the neonatal intensive care unit （NICU）of the Second People's Hospital of Baiyin， Gansu Province from July 20l9 to July 2024 were selected and divided into the control group and the experimental group，with 6O cases ineach group.Thecontrol group received routine nursing and testing，and the experimental group received standardized sedation. Results： 89% of neonates in the experimental group successfully received non-invasive ventilation support， accounting for a relatively high proportion （P<0.05） . The proportion needing to switch to invasive mechanical ventilation ofthe experimental group was lowerthanthat of the control group （P<0.05） The average score of short-term neurodevelopment in the experimental group was higher than thatinthe control group （ （P<0.05） . At follw-up， the neurodevelopmental scores of the experimental group continued to maintain the superiority （204號(hào) （P<0.05） .Conclusion： Standardized sedation protocol can improve the success rate of neonatal noninvasive ventilation， reduce the need to switch to invasive ventilation，and improve the short-term and long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes of newborns.
