Abstract：Phagesare mainly composed of proteinsand nucleic acids.Whenabacteriophage enters ananimal’s body， it mayberecognizedasanantigen，therebytriggering theproductionofantibodies.Inordertofurtherstudytheproductionof antibodies intheanimalbodyafteroraladministrationof phages，purifiedbroad-spectrum lyticSalmonellphage SCBS was usedas theantigen tochallenge theNew Zealand Great WhiteRabit.The polyclonalantibodiesagainstthe phage SCBS were prepared，andthe indirectELISA method was established.The phageantibodies were detected asfolows：phages werecoated at a concentration of 1×109PFU/mL ，blocked with 2% bovine serum albumin（BSA）for 3 h，the hyperimmune serum （ 1：500 ）was incubated for 6O min，then enzyme-labeled secondary antibody（ 1：12000 ）was incubated for 45min，the absorbance （ OD450 ）was measured after the substrate solution containing TMB reacted for 15 min.The established ELISA methoddemonstratedgoodspecificity.TepositiveandnegativethresholdvalueswereO.372andO.310.Theintra-assaycoefficientofvariationranged from 2.30% to 7.11% ，andtheinter-assaycoefficient ofvariation ranged from 1.37% to 9.25%
