Research on language services for employment and entrepreneurship of students inrural areasof vocational colleges

AbstractTo research the language ability of vocational college students inrural areasandtheir language service needs in employment and entrepreneurship,this study had used questionnaire survey and regresion analysis methods to analyzethe main factorsafectingthelanguage abilityof students inrural areas.The targeted suggestions were proposed to enhance students’language ability.Theresults indicated,(1)most students were fluent in Putonghua,buttheir Englishapplicationabilitywasrelativly insuficient,whichmayafected theiremploymentcompetitiveness; (2)there were diferences in language proficiencyamong rural vocational colegestudents basedon gender,age,and targeted language educationprograms were needed tobeprovided for diffrentgroups; (3)rural graduates from vocational collges paid more attention to theapplicationof language in professional settings.Basedon the main influencing factors,the folowing suggestions were proposed.Strengthen languageservices forrural vocational college students, enhance Putonghua proficiency testing andcertification,optimize the language service methods for rural students’ employment and entrepreneurship,strengthen schol-enterprise coperation,integrate industry andeducation,and optimizetheonlineandofline teachingexperience.Thisarticleprovidesreferencesforenhancing theabilityof vocationalcollgeruralstudents toprovide language services torural developmentsoastobeterachieve comprehensive rural revitalization.
