Effects of offline materials and batch sequence in production processes on theyield of cut stem

AbstractTo investigate the effects ofofline materials in different production processes and the sequence of production batches ontheyieldofcut stem,fourtypes ofoffline materials:screened brokenstems fromthe stem washing process,residual stems in the cuting machine,rejected stem tips fromthe cutting proces,and rejected stem heads from the winnowing process along with the production batch sequence were selected as experimental factors.Descriptive statistics wereconducted to analyze thecorelation betweenthese factors and cut stem yield.Usinga controlled variable approach,the impact of ofline indicators from each production process oncut stem yield was measured and discussed. The results showed that the production batch sequence had the highest coefficient of variation ( 56.42% ). Cut stem yield exhibited a negative correlation with screened brokenstems,rejected stem tips,residual stems inthe cutting machine, and rejected stem heads,while showing apositivecorrelation with the production batch sequence.As the quantities of screenedbrokenstems,residual stems in the cuting machine,rejected stem tips,andrejected stem heads increased,the cut stem yield consistently decreased.Acros production batches,silk yield was lowest in the first batch,peaked in the fifth batch,andstabilized in intermediatebatches.Meanwhile,the amounts ofscreenedbrokenstems,residual stems,and rejected stem tips decreased to varyingdegrees and stabilized over succesive batches,whereastherejected stem heads showed agradual butinsignificant increase.These findings indicate thatoptimizing the stem blend,reducing cutting machine residue,minimizing rejected stem tips,and controllingtherejectionrate of stem heads can enhance yield of cut stem.Additionaly,regulating theoffline material quantitiesacross diffrent productionbatchesandrefining relevant ocess parameters can improve raw material utilization efficiency,thereby achieving higher cut stem yield.
