Abstract： This paper takes the working face in a certain coal mine as the research background，reveals the energy disipationmechanisminthefragmentationprocessofoalandrock massesthroughtheoreticalanalysis，andsystematically explorestheinfuencingfactorsofrockburstsandtheevaluation methodofrockbursttendency.Basedonthis，itproposesmpact preventionmeasures fornarrowcoalpilars，designsthecoalpilarretentionschemebyestablishingtheelastic-plasticmodel of coal pillrs，optimizesthe schemesubsequentlyand determines thereasonable widthofthecoal piars simultaneously.By usingFLAC3Dnumericalsimulation，itanalyesthestressdistributioncaracteristicsofoalpillrswithdiffrentwidthsand conducts an in-depth discussion on the stability of the roadway.
