Abstract：ToidentifythepathogencausingtobaccotargetspotinHenyangCitythisstudyemployedthetissueseparationmethodto isolatethepathogenfromthetypicaldiseasedtobaccoleavesinthisrgion.Thepathogenicityof teisolatewasvalidatedaccodingto Koch's postulate.Teisolatewasthenidentifedbasedonthecolonymorphologymicroscopicfeaturesofhyphae，andISsunce. TheresultsshowedthattheisolateybapresentedthetypicalmorphologicalfeaturesofRizoctoniasoanianditproducednopore butsclerotia.Thehyphae wereiitiallycolorlessandbcamelightbrowntoyellowbrownatmaturitywithsepta.TheISsqunce similaritybetweentheisolateandR.solani AG-3（HQ241274.1）washigh.Theconstructedphylogenetictreeshowcasedthatyba sharedthesamecladewithR.solaniAG-3（HQ241274.1）.Therefore，thepathogencausingtobaccotargetspotwasidentifedR.solani AG-3.
