An improved acoustic boundary element method and its solver development

Abstract:An improved boundary element method(BEM) is proposes. The structural boundary is discretized using constant quadrilateral elements to facilitate the calculation of singular integrals.The CHIEF method is applied to ensure the uniqueness of the solution for the conventional boundary integral equation(CBIE)under low-frequency vibration conditions.The solver for this boundary element algorithm and its graphical user interface are developed using the C++ programming language. The correctness of the solver is verified by computing the sound radiation problem of typical models,and the results are in good agreement with the reference results,indicating that the improved method is suitable for numerical simulation of structural vibration and noise.
