Exploration of the landscape planning and design strategies of traditional villages from the perspective of village gardens

AbstractUnder the background of comprehensive rural revitalization，the protection of material and intangible cultural landsapes of some traditional villages is facing challenges. Conducting research on their landscape planing anddesign isof great significance forimprovingvillage landscapes，inheritingregional culture，andpromoting sustainable development.From the perspectiveof village gardens，this paper elaborates on the connotations andresearch status of traditional vilage landscapes and village gardens.Basedontheecologicalconcepts of harmonizing withnature， theprofoundcultural heritage，andthe publicityand practicality，the landscape planning and design strategies for traditional villagesare proposed： integrating landscape elements with natural ecologyas thestartingpoint to create aestheticappeal;achieving“authentic design”of villages through the excavation of regionalcultureand digital technologydisplay;anddevelopingagricultural，cultural，andtourismindustries throughmulti-partycolaborationwhile constructing guarantee mechanisms.Taking Hou Shangzhuang Village in Luoyang City， Henan Province as an empirical object，the strategies were implemented from three aspects：ecological concepts （applicationof traditional landscaping techniques suchastheaxis method，hierarchymethod，andview borrowing）;culturaldemonstration （planningof three zonesand four gardens，andmulti-cultural display）;and function enhancement （construction of agricultural-culturetourism industrial chains and long-term maintenance mechanisms）.This study provides references for contemporary traditional village landscape planning and village garden research.
