The Impact of Digital Infrastructure Construction on Rural Collective Economy
A Perspective of New Productivity

Abstract:Analyzing the impact of digital infrastructure construction on rural collctive economy from the perspective of new-type productive forces is critical for advancing comprehensive rural revitalization. Using data from the National Rural Fixed Observation Points (2010-2017) ,this study finds that digital infrastructure exerts a statistically significant positive effect on the development of rural collective economic entities.This conclusion remains robust after a series of robustness and endogeneity tests. Heterogeneity analysis reveals that the promoting efect of digital infrastructure was more pronounced in hilly regions, villages with moderate economic development,and western regions. Mechanism tests indicate that digital infrastructure construction boosted the rural collective economy through two channels: increasing income from leasing collctive assets and enhancing investment in rural infrastructure. Based on these findings, this paper proposes to accelerate the digital infrastructure construction and establish a data-driven collaborative governance system to facilitate rural revitalization.
