T’ou-sè-wè arts and crafts orphanage is a charity organization established by the French Jesuits in the early twentieth century to serve missionary causes. Looking at its evolution， with the help of religious power，T’ousè-wè arts and crafts orphanage has always adjusted its sales targets and profit methods along with changes in the political，economic，and social environment during its existence，seeking ways of survival and inheritance. The successful evolution of production and operation methods of T’ou-sè-wè arts and crafts orphanage was mainly due to the support of religious forces， especially the Xujiahui Catholic Church. In a word，this article combines Chinese T’ou-sè-wè arts and crafts orphanage and its works，and focuses more on the history of religion and the church.
