The Effect of Perceived Organizational Support on Special Education Teachers’ Job Dynamics: A Chained Intermediary Model

Abstract:The work vitality of special education teachersaffcts theirproductivityandthequality of their education and teaching.In order to study the relationship and mechanism of action between sense of organizational support,emotional inteligence,emotional labor,and work vitality,a questionnaire survey of 426 special education teachers in Sichuan,Shanxi,and Zhejiang Province.The results show the follwing:perceived organizational support significantly and positively predicts special education teachers’work vitality;Emotional intelligence independently mediates the relationship betweenperceptions of organizational support and work vitality;Emotional labor independently mediates the relationship between perceptions of organizational support and

Work vitality;A sense of organizational support promotes the use of deep emotional labor strategies by enhancing emotional intelligence,which ultimately enhances work vitality;Veteran teachers rely more ona senseof organizational support to maintain work vitality,while novice teachers rely more on emotional intelligence;The mediating role of emotional labor was stronger among teachers of education for children with intelectual disabilities ,and the role of emotional intellgence was more prominent among teachers of other types of education.Therefore, it is recommended that organizational support be enhanced through optimal management,optimize emotional labor beenhanced through teachers’professional qualities training be strengthened to improve emotional intelligence.
