Abstract: Objective To examine TGFBR1 expression in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)and its clinicopathological correlations,as well as validate TGF- β pathway effects on proliferation,migration and invasion.Methods TGFBR1 expression in 25 HCC tisues,from the patients who underwent hepatectomy at the first Anhui University of Technologyafiliated hospital,was assessed via immunohistochemistry.Statistical analyses linked expressionlevels to clinical features. EdU,Transwell,and scratch assays evaluated TGF- β pathway effects. Results TGFBR1 was higher in HCC than that in normal liver tissues ( P<0.05) ),correlating with TNM stage,AFP,ALT,and AST (20 (P<0.05).TGF-β activation enhanced HCC cell proliferation,migration and invasion. Conclusion TGFBR1 is associated with HCC progression and liver dysfunction,and therefore the research may ofer therapeutic potential for patients with liver cancer.
